Welcome to Jefferson County
The Jefferson County Separated, Divorced and Widowed Catholics is a non-profit organization affiliated with the St. Louis Archdiocese through a program identified as the Arise Ministry. The purpose of the support group is to help separated, divorced and widowed persons through difficulties causing pain and bewilderment during changes in life. This organization was formed to help YOU help yourself. All faiths are welcome.
Anyone wishing to participate in peer support discussions, “Care & Share ”, will find the opportunity to share feelings with other caring people every Sunday at 6 p.m. at Sacred Heart School Cafeteria, 201 Brierton Lane, Festus, MO. Care & Share helps those dealing with the initial stages of loss from divorce or death of a spouse. It creates an atmosphere in which a person suffering from loss can move from brokenness, alienation and confusion to a sense of reconciliation, self-worth and wholeness. Call Carol at 636-282-3014 for more information.
Steps to Wholeness is a seven-session workshop held several times a year at Immaculate Conception parish center, 2300 Church Road, Arnold, MO. Separate workshops are offered for divorced or widowed.
Beginning Experience (BE) allows time away from everyday life to concentrate on oneself and to focus on healing from and dealing with the loss of one's marriage. This helps close the door to their married lives and make new beginnings for being single again.
As a member of the Catholic Divorce Ministry (CDM) we have access to many opportunities and materials.
Missouri is located in Region 9, which sponsors an annual regional conference and retreats/seminars during the year. Visit www.nacsdc.org or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for more information.
